A New Rider's Take on Yamaha's 70th-Anniversary Raptor 700R & YFZ450R

I got the invite to the 2026 Yamaha Sport ATV Media Ride near Bend, Oregon, and my first honest reaction was a mix of excitement and a low-grade worry that I was about to embarrass myself in front of people who ride for a living. The event was built around the 70th anniversary release of two machines that many riders treat as sacred ground: the YFZ450R and the Raptor 700R. Seven decades of sport ATV heritage, and here I was, a guy whose entire quad résumé amounted to slow, sensible, utility stuff.

Maine Considering Raising ATV Weight Limit According To New Bill

But with the weight of new machines continually increasing, the one-ton weight limit is in jeopardy, and Maine is now debating increasing the weight limit for ATVs on its trails.
