Arctic Cat Adds Argo Amphibious XTV Lineup to Its Family
Arctic Cat has added Argo Xtreme Terrain Vehicles to its lineup, bringing the well-known amphibious off-road machines under the Arctic Cat banner. The two companies announced the move on October 20, 2026, after working together for 18 months to figure out the best long-term plan for both brands, their dealers, and their customers.
How the Two Brands Came Together
The connection goes back to April 2025, when Arctic Cat was acquired by a group of investors along with Argo president and CEO Brad Darling. Since then the Arctic Cat and Argo teams have been pulling in the same direction, and this latest step aligns their operations to improve product availability, dealer support, and market reach across North America and overseas.
"Arctic Cat is ready and excited to welcome the Argo XTV lineup of amphibious vehicles to the family," said Darling, who serves as president and CEO of Arctic Cat. "This unique line of off-road products complements Arctic Cat's strong lineup of snowmobiles, ATVs and side-by-sides, while expanding the solutions we can offer to dealers and customers who rely on capable vehicles for work, recreation and adventure."
Where the Machines Will Be Built
For riders, the most concrete change is where the machines come from. Production of Argo XTV will continue in Canada to serve Canadian and international buyers. In the United States, though, all Argo vehicles will be built and assembled at Arctic Cat's facility in Thief River Falls, Minnesota, starting in late 2026. That brings U.S. assembly under one roof with the rest of Arctic Cat's manufacturing.
Faster Parts and Service Support
Parts support is shifting too. Argo service parts will move to Arctic Cat's North American distribution center in Bucyrus, Ohio. The goal is faster turnaround on parts for dealers and customers across the worldwide network, which matters to anyone who depends on an Argo for work or hunting and cannot afford to sit around waiting on a component.
One Point of Contact for Dealers
Dealers on both sides stand to see the practical effects of the merger as well. Instead of dealing with two separate organizations, Argo and Arctic Cat dealer partners will work through one, with streamlined processes and coordinated communication. That single point of contact is meant to cover the full dealer and customer experience rather than splitting support between two companies.
Argo machines are known for going places other off-road vehicles cannot, including straight through water, which makes them a tool for hunters, ranchers, and anyone working in wet or remote terrain. Folding that capability into Arctic Cat's existing range of snowmobiles, ATVs, and side-by-sides gives the brand a wider set of options to offer.
The full 2027 Argo XTV lineup, including new engine packages and updated features, is listed on Arctic Cat's website.
