Loncin X-Wolf EV10 Breaks Cover In New Pre-Production Design Images
Following the launch and subsequent positive reception of the Can-Am Outlander Electric, fully electric ATVs are taking the market by storm. The next entrant comes from Chinese manufacturer Loncin, which has its X-Wolf EV10 in the works.
The two most interesting things about the Loncin X-Wolf EV10 are that the company is BMW's manufacturing partner (it builds a lot of the single and twin-cylinder engines that BMW uses in its BMW Motorrad lineup) and that Loncin is quoting the quad as having 2100Nm (1548 pounds feet) of torque. We don't know how much it weighs, but the latter number is pretty massive for a four-wheeler, and its 291-volt electrical architecture plus 14.5 kWh battery mean it should be extremely fast to charge and on the move.
Details are otherwise pretty slim, but we can see what look like beadlock (or at least simulated beadlock) wheels, tires that should be in the 28-30" range, a healthy amount of armor, and a two-up setup that appears more compact than gas-powered two-seaters (undoubtedly thanks to the electric powertrain's lower and more compact footprint).
So you'll have to sit tight while we wait for more information about the X-Wolf EV10 electric ATV, but on the surface at least, it looks promising. Then again, we always have a slight doubt about whether machines like this will actually see production; regardless, we certainly hope that is the case.
