Massimo is growing the number of Ace Hardware stores that carry its powersports vehicles, a move that could put more side-by-sides and ATVs within reach of local buyers who already shop at their neighborhood hardware store.

Broadening the Ace Hardware Footprint

Massimo products have already been available at some independently operated Ace locations. The new retail program aims to widen that footprint across the Ace network, which includes more than 5,000 stores in the United States and ranks as one of the country's largest groups of independently owned hardware retailers.

Pitching the Lineup in Orlando

As part of the effort, Massimo recently took part in an Ace Hardware event in Orlando, Florida. There the company presented its powersports lineup and its retail programs directly to Ace representatives and store owners. The goal was to show those retailers what the vehicles are and how a store program could work on a larger scale.

"Working with individual Ace stores has already demonstrated to us that there is a natural fit between the Ace customer and Massimo's product portfolio," said Quenton Petersen, CEO of Massimo Group. "The next opportunity is to take what we have learned at the individual-store level and build a scalable program that can be presented to a much broader group of Ace retailers."

Why Hardware Shoppers Fit Massimo's Market

Massimo frames the push as part of its broader strategy of building relationships with retailers whose customers overlap with its core markets. Those markets include powersports, outdoor recreation, agriculture, and utility work, the kinds of uses that fit well with the farm, ranch, and property owners who often visit hardware stores for tools, parts, and supplies.

A Holiday Retail Push for 2026

The company has also submitted a dedicated 2026 holiday retail program. That plan would supply participating Ace stores with select Massimo products for the Black Friday and Christmas selling periods, the busiest stretch of the retail year.

For riders and buyers, the practical takeaway is simple. If the program grows the way Massimo and Ace intend, more local hardware stores could stock utility vehicles and other powersports machines, making them easier to see and buy without a trip to a dedicated dealership. Shoppers in the market for a work or recreation vehicle may want to check whether their nearby Ace location is part of the expanded program, especially heading into the holiday shopping season when the special retail offerings are set to appear.

The announcement lands amid a busy fall for the UTV market, with manufacturers and distributors continuing to chase new ways to reach buyers through retail partnerships rather than dealers alone.
