Simply an overlooked do it all best in class ATV.
By Ron in Montana (I am an Owner) on Sep 19, 2011I now have 1300 miles in 8 months on my 09 KingQuad 500. This thing is absolutely a very helpful tool around the yard/farm, tralriding or hunting......it doesn't miss a beat. After I upgraded the mediocre stock tires and a UNI Airfilter. I haven't found anything else that needs an upgrade as far ... as I'm concerned. It is an extremely comfortable ATV, power steering makes it top notch and the feedback is "just right" for most purposes, not overly light...and it acts as a damper on the trails. The 500 class has enough power to keep you from wrecking, anything more and I would be to tempted to go a little beyond my capabilities of speed. The low gear works awesome for technical sections or high load/technical trails under 10Mph. The engine braking is absolutely 1st class in this Kingquad, I'm a fast paced trail rider, and if I pace myself I seldom have to use the brakes, only using the engine braking that the motor/tranny provides. Now I'll have my 2nd plow season in the northern Rockies ahead of me, maybe I'll get ATV tracks now :)

King of ATV's
By Terry Greenwood (I am an Owner) on Jan 25, 2011I purchased a new King Quad 500 axi and I just love it. It is what they say it is. Road 130 miles of mountian trails in Colorado and had no problems. At over 14000' it ran and handeles great. The power steering is great and at the end of the day, after a long ride my arms were not hurting. I ... am 63 years old and my health is not the best but plan another trip to Colorado this summer. Take a trip from St. Elmos to Tincup Wow! what a great ride.

Solid Allrounder
By bdabj (I am an Owner) on Nov 17, 2009I recently bought two of these units and my son is jumping with his and it seems content to take the abuse. We've ridden carefully through water that put a bow wave over the handlebars and the units never hesitated. They are stable and the shock adjustment is great for all types of riders. Have ... even pulled logs that are 400lb+ uphill without any issues at all. Only thing I'd like to have is better rear brakes. I find I'm forced to use the fronts more than I'd like because the rears need too much pressure and in certain circumstances I can't meet the requirements.
Would definitely recommend this unit.
