2005 Honda TRX™ 450R

I have had this ATV for a couple years now and it hadn't broken and has always ran good. It handles really good in the desert and it the sand dunes. I has great traction anywhere you go. This is also a great race quad and has a lot of potential in it. That is why I love my Honda 450R so much.

I got my 2005 trx450r used and it is very good with aftermarket parts very easy to get them and put them on and good for someone whos been riding for atleast 2 years or is 15 and older it is the best quad make i run it hard and its been working for 8 years no problems just maintain it and it will ... keep you going.

This thing had enough power to handle the track but enough agility to handle the trails. If you want a truly great quad this is the one!

I am the second owner of the o5 trx 450r and can only tell you its a great ride I also own a 2007 trx 400 and there is no comparason give me any yrar trx 450 r

Honestly the quad gives you sufficient power and reliability and this quad is great for beginners trying to get into racing. But if your already a hardcore rider or experienced racer, or just have an urge to have the most power i would highly recommend NOT going with the 04 - 05. in 2006 Honda completely ... redid the Trx and upgraded just about every component about it, making very noticeable better.

also the 04 - 05 Honda Trx450r cannot compare to the newer 450 atv's on the market, unless you dump a large sum of money into them. i had an 05 i dumped about 2500 into the quad and my friend had a 100% completely stock 2012 yfz450r and i only beat him by about a half of quad length in a drag.

MY ENDING POINT IS..., if your just looking to get a used atv to trail ride, mess around or practice at the track they are fine, very controllable power, amazing throttle response, easy comfort, amazing handling, but if you have the extra cash your willing to spend, stay away from the 2004 - 2005.

its fast and handles great and runs awesome.

I've had my trx450r for about 3 years now. All I can say is wow. I've raced 700CC raptors and walked away from them with my quad stock. I've ridden trails and raced, and overall its been a fantastic quad. I love the kick start, I can start it every time no problem. I've ridden up some steep slopes ... and trails, not gonna lie, my fathers Suzuki 4x4 made it up easier, but I did make it. If your looking for just a trail riding quad this is probably not the quad for you, but if you have the need to go fast, and then go hop of a trail and keep up, then the TRX450R is a good choice.

Another thing I love is the aftermarket availability of parts, from plastics to axles. I've never once said "Oh I wish they made something like this for mine". My quad is going on, at least, 7 years of riding, and it has seen its fair share of 9000+ RPM's. My only regret is that the quad doesn't have a speedometer. However, a quick 100 bucks later, I have a speedometer, coolant, and RPM gauge.

i ride this machine for utility and sport and it runs great. i live where it is snow half the year and the Trx 450r has no trouble in snow. The 4-stroke engine runs great. The machine is fast but i have no trouble taking it slow.thats one of the greats things with this machine is that i feel like ... im in control and not being ridden by the quad. i have a 13 yr old son and he rides this quad more than i do. At first i was nervous about letting him ride it like all fathers would but this quad isnt tippy and he does good already and hes been riding it for about 1 month and it is his first quad. If you are gonna get a quad for your teenage son i would recommended this one.
