engine case problems
By 942785536 ()Read MoreI have recently broken the starting gear shaft and both the inside and ouside engine shaft mounts. I have no clue why this happened. Now I have to disassemble the engine and replace the left engine case and outer case, assuming I can find used cases. I have seen several pictures of the same damage ... on other 2009 engines. It has to be a manufacturing flaw in the case casting.

Artic Cat flaw

I have a 2009 Artic Cat 4x4 ATV with a 4" lift with 28x11x14 Swamplites and I love everything about it but for one flaw, the tie-rod ends. I've broke the left side 2 times and I am not hard on my ATV's. I've never had this kind of trouble with any of my ... Honda's. I don't feel safe going out by myself anymore because I'm scared I'll break another tie-rod end. The last time I broke it I filled the space up with washers hopeing to eliminate the problem.
