Very poor drivetrain design
By SMF (I am an Owner) on Mar 17, 2021Had to replace the turf saver to live axel and had to replace the front differential also due to catastrophic failure. Bad experience with this machine and I really wanted to like it but just too many drive train issues and it is not trail ridden beat up toy. It is used for farm and property maintenance ... work, nothing dramatic. Sometimes you get a lemon. Given that arctic cat discontinued the turf saver after 2 years pretty much says it all, ie arctic cat made a couple of years of lemons. IMHO

Pretty nice machine
By James Webster (I am an Owner) on Aug 03, 2016Machine has a lot of power 700 cc fuel injected engine. High and low range. 2 or 4wd with differential Lock. Sits very high on its stock 14 inch tires. Does feel a little tippy at times on side inclines. Is a bit jerky on the take off especially in the woods or slower speeds unless it's in four-wheel-drive. ... Due to the turf mode differential. Overall I really like it Has a lot of power don't have to worry about bottoming out. Does when I need it to do use a little common sense and you won't have any problems with this machine

Had it since it was born.
By hotrod (I am an Owner) on Mar 16, 2012Look I cant speak for no one else , but compared to the other UTVs , the prowler is more solid and roomy, just as powerful ,if not more powerful, than any at the time of its release. I have owned mine since before it had been unpacked from the factory, The dealer had three brand new ones just off ... the truck, still in the factory packaging and partially un- assembled . I bought the one I felt looked best packed, and went and paid cash for it . I have enjoyed it ever since. Many times in serious 4x4 situations it has performed flawlessly. Regular maint. is all it takes , Love it.

Unhappy Rear end
By MAC (I am an Owner) on Aug 30, 2009I own a 2008 Prowler 700 XTX. The machine is very jerky because there is so much play in the rear differntial. Arctic Cat replaced it once under warranty and it worked perfect for about 3 weeks. Then it started doing the same thing and kept getting worse. The drive shaft will turn 2 to 3 complete ... turns before it engages at times. Arctic Cat would do nothing about it even though it was still under warranty. If I could afford it I would trade it for another brand.
