Yamaha made a nice 250.
By Jesse (I am an Owner) on Mar 26, 2024Most comfortable 250 utility quad I've ridden. Not as fast as some others but more offroad capable. Yamaha and other manufacturers need to start making smaller displacement utility quads again.

really safe
By brayden hancock (I am an Owner) on Aug 25, 2020so I have a friend that owns one of these and I have yet to encounter something that I can not get myself unstuck from, it climbs well and it has great fuel efficiency and large fuel tank but it does have to warm up before you go

A great atv for the money
By Anthony Meoli (I am an Owner) on May 07, 2010I recently purchased a 2009 Yamaha Big Bear 250 at a local dealership and cannot be happier. My purchase of this particular model was based on price and performance and little else. As the owner of a small 110cc and a Kawasaki Bayou 250, I was looking for a third atv that was similar in size and ... style, while not being forced to spend upwards of $5000.00.
As a full grown adult carrying 230 lbs. on a 6 foot frame, this vehicle more than satisfies my needs. I do not do anything more than trail ride (so I am not looking for speed), yet I can carry my tow rope and have used it to pull others out of trouble.
I truly believe Yamaha got it right and in the future I would be more that happy to recommend their products to anyone interested in taking up the hobby of trail riding.
