Raptor 2008
By Sg (I am an Owner) on Apr 23, 2016Love it! Never ever selling it. Fires up every time, and chews through just about anything. If u happen to tank it its lite enough to get out your self. Awesome. Also, it looks BAD ASS.

Small but hauls
By Mitchell Schurman (I am an Owner) on Feb 15, 2013This thing is reliable and fast. I can tell you from experience this thing hauls for a 250. I've got mine modded out with pretty much all the GYT-R parts, full exhaust, jet kit, air intake kit, nerf bars, heel guards, and skid plate. It can pull a wheelie in second gear and tops out at about 62mph ... and even feels like it could take a sixth gear (if there was one). Don't just think I'm saying this because I try and talk all big either because I had my cousins that used to race 450 dirtbikes ride it and they agree with me 100% about all the things I said. Another great thing is the brakes, they're the same as the yfz so this thing stops on a dime. A lot of the parts are the same as the yfz like the oil filter so it's really easy to get parts for it if you need to which is great because the closest dealer is an hour away. So overall this is one of the best quads I've ever owned very reliable and fast, once again another good Yamaha product.

Bought one for my daughter
By Jeremy Libby (I am an Owner) on Mar 01, 2012My daughter is 16 and wanted an ATV I didn't want to spend to much money because its her first 4 wheeler. Did alot of research to find the style and right power ratio for her size and something that would last her awhile. I came across three good deals a Honda 400ex, Raptor 350 and Raptor 250. ... The Honda was the oldest and most expensive and looked a little beat up the Raptor 350 was a little bit more than the 250. I went first to look at the 250 it only had 38 hours came with all the riding gear and looked brand new the guy took really good care of it. I took it for a test run and was suprise from the power this little machine produced. I have a Raptor 700r and this little 250 is in some ways funner to ride I find myself riding her machine every chance I can. It will do power wheelies in 2nd gear and I've learned to switch gears while riding wheelie which is easier to do with the 250 than my 700. Great sport quad alot of fun on the trails (don't really know about track) and will beat the 350 Raptor in a drag (rider has alot to do with this) but can do better wheelies and jumps than the Raptor 350 the only thing it can't do is back up.

What i think about the yamaha raptor 250
By jaxsun miller (I am an Owner) on Oct 24, 2011I think that the yamaha raptor 250 is more of a stock racing bike.If you are looking for more of a racing atv,the yamaha raptor 250 se is the way to go.This atv is the lightest in its class weighing in at 313 pounds.the tank on it is realy narrow wich makes it much easer to steer, and gives you alot ... more control on the atv. Most racers perfer two stroke but this four stroke beast is somting else.It domonates its class and does prety good against the 450 class. Its not just good in motorcross it can also be a trail riding atv too.It has hydraulic disc for the front and the rear.I have one myself and i race with it.I won the first and the second moto for the 250 class.I also raced in the four stroke class an palced 7nth.I also race my friends they have a trail blazer 330,i lap them with my raptor.I have made some mods for my atv latley.I put 6+ hls a arms on it,then i put a uni filter because i heard it was good and it is very good.also wheel spacers to widen the back, new front HLS shoks, and nerf bars. this thing is outstanding on the track.i would strongly recremend it for enyone.

2008 raptor 250
By Ben Tetreault (I am an Owner) on Jan 13, 2010The raptor 250 is probably on of the best middle class quads you can get. Me and my quad have been through a lot in the past 2 years. The maintanace is easy so you can get abck to riding very quick. the power is moderate for the size of the quad but i fell it is the best in its class. For example ... at one of my friends house he was riding a trx 450r and i was riding my raptor 250 on the track we were racing and i was keeping up with him the whole time. I love my raptor 250 but i am growing out of it to quick. i am planning to get a yfz 450x because i mainly go riding in the woods in rough trails, race on tracks, and vertical hill climbs. overal the raptor is a great bike and i would recomend it to anyone who wants a mid sized bike.
