tough little rig
By Donald Rosman (I am an Owner) on Jan 26, 2009I purchased my land pride last spring and put it to work right away, I loaded the large bed with ALL my fencing equipment (steel post, steel post driver, post hole diggers, wood post, roll of wire, wire strechers, shovel, post hole tamper, fence clips and staples). It hauled it all without one complaint ... up and down steep hills, through ditches, over large rocks and logs.
The only problems I have had with it were that someone from the factory did not put the drain plug in tightly on the transmision and it needed to be replaced and the seat stiching came unraveled, both items were replaced with no hassel and at no cost to me. The only other thing was that when the idle is set to high the motor keeps the transmission just engaged enough that it is hard to shift out of gear and the shift cable broke, that was fixed and the idle is adjusted right and it works great now. It is now hauling hay to horses and cattle and on occasion a calf or two.
It is not a real speed demon but that makes me feel better if I have my 10 yr old drive it down the meadow to pick me up.
The ground clearance is amazing, the suspension is very nice loaded or empty, the extra width adds alot of stability and I love the fact the motor is a HONDA.
For the price I am very pleased and impressed.
