I Own Two
By Jim Earnest (I am an Owner) on Nov 07, 2019First let me start with I paid $1500 for two of these in 2018. There was not a scratch on them and they look like they were barely ridden in 12 years. Rebuilt one's carb and it runs reliably, but it's a dog compared to the other, but that's fine since it's my 10 yr olds. The other one runs like ... a bat out of hell. Can't complain at all for what I paid for the two quads. At 3k per new, you get what you pay for, which is a rougher/stiffer/suspension ride, no frills, electric start, dependable engine quad.

Just OK....
By Tony (I am an Owner) on Mar 03, 2017I have 2 of these quads.... They both had a ton of issues probably from neglect. Once they got fixed and it was extensive fuel line/carb issues in both... they seem to run fine. I can leave them for months and then they'll both start nice and easy with the choke. So these are no frills farm use quads. ... They do great hauling material and running around the property. They seem underpowered for what they are. heres my main gripe... the front end is crap. The suspension linkage, tie rods, front brakes, hubs.. they way they all connect is the downfall of this quad. the metal is always getting bent which eventually renders the front brakes useless, the tires are constantly out of alignment toed in very bad which makes driving them super dangerous. If you use these on trails with any rocks your will soon kill this thing.

2006 kawaski bayou 250
By kaleb (I am an Owner) on Jan 09, 2013I bought this bike from a guy in spokane and i am glad to say that i am happy with it except for the fact that they should have a warning sticker to not ride in cold. i was stupid and i jumped right on and of coarse bent a valve maybe more. but over all i would give this a 5 star because it shows ... the perfect perfance need to do stuff right. ecept i raced a 80cc dirtbike honda and it beat me why? i have 250 triple that little ride.

good little bike!
By jeffrey clark (I am an Owner) on Sep 03, 2012I bought a bayou 250 brand new in 2006. I bought it originally to pull my race car to and from the pits at our local dragstrip here in town. The bike is now 6 years old and I'm proud to say that I have not had to do anything other than routine maintenance to keep my ATV going. I now use it for hunting ... , and general recreation. This is a small ATV but it has a good 250 engine and a great low gear ratio so it has plenty of power to move you and a passenger down just about any trail. It obviously is not a 4 wheel drive ATV, but it goes places that I've been pleasantly surprised it could handle. This past weekend I finally broke down and rebuilt the carburetor. It had started to run rough and I found trash in the jets of the carburetor. After cleaning the carburetor, and installing a new spark plugs, the bike runs just like it did the day I bought it new. I have thoroughly enjoyed using my 250, and would recommend purchasing it to anyone who wants a small ATV for general recreation or use around the house or farm.
