Great quad all around
By Brad (I am an Owner) on Jun 30, 2015I've done a little bit to mine and let me tell you the truth.
Trails drag racing flat track it don't matter this bike goes
I pull holeshots at events against built 450rs and yfz450s this quad out the box I wasn't impressed on the torque.
Easy fix don't worry.
Contact ... garret Torres at fuel customs intakes promise you it will open the low and mid end up.
As for sound and better throttle response I went with hmf full competition exhaust system matched with a hmf fuel programmer
15 tooth front sprocket.
These 4 things alone put my quad at over 100mph
Don't believe me that's fine but I ran next to a brand new camaro ss to get my #s

2014 kfx450R
By Blake (I am an Owner) on Feb 10, 2014Bought a KFX 450R in October of 2013 and wow am I impressed. All around great bike. It has tons of power and is very quick threw all 5 gears. Topped the quad out at 70 stock and 96 after dual pro circuit exhaust, power distributer box, throttle body, and other little things here and there that added ... to acceleration and comfort. I've raced plenty of trx450, yfz450, and a bored out zuki 400. I also have a 400ex nothing on it is stock. Build for racing... But the kfx450 will take it all day long. It's a beautiful bike. I also love this kawasaki bc it is very easy to learn to ride on. Everyone who's been on a sport quad knows it's no joke. They're fast and can be unstable if you don't know how to distribute body weight around turns and threw long corners. I will also say that it takes mud well but can over heat very easly if you don't have the oppertunity to get some air to the radiator. I'd suggest your first upgrade be skid plates due to the fact the frame is cast aluminum. Very strong but once scared and stained it looks terriable. I would give this bike 5 out of 5 all day long and as an owner of multiple quads I'd go as far as to say the kfx450R is #1 among power, handling, and all around performance
