trx400ex
By mike nixon (I am an Owner) on Apr 28, 2019I love this bike - it rips and it also oddly goes in the back of my ranger with the gate closed. Parts are plentiful and it turns good. The could have done a little better job on the plastics.

WOW, it gets it!
By chris barba (I am an Owner) on Aug 02, 2015I traded a 2009 ninja 250r for mine and was not sure if it was a good trade. Let me tell you, this atv will get it. Through the jumps it floats and will land full throttle and leave you in the dust. I raced a 660 raptor and beat his rear on top end speed. Do not get me wrong, it has after market ... exhaust, sprocket, shocks, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. I love this four wheeler. In the slide, I can drift for a full 150 yards before running straight again. It is fun.

My four-wheeler.
By courtney crase (I am an Owner) on Aug 07, 2014Having a Honda sportrax 400ex is the best sport ATV you can own. It rides great, up and down hills. It rides in the mud like it owns it, and don't get me started on the gas. I can fill it up and ride for so long and still have gas in my tank, that's the best feeling any rider can have. I love my ... ATV more than anything. Im not the best at reviews nor have I ever done one, but if I had to recommend a ATV to someone, I defiantly would say sportrax 400 is the best and fastest I have rode.

Great atv!
By Garrett Corry (I am an Owner) on Dec 16, 2012Ok, this atv is great! It does NOT have reverse, so dont be fooled. Even though its not the fastest or most powerful, but it is BULLETPROOF! I reccomend you buy a 14 tooth front sprocket to gain more torque, but you will lose a little top end speed. Stock, you will get about 64 mph, but it depends ... on your weight, riding ability, surface, and tires.

2002 400ex
By Dennis (I am an Owner) on Nov 18, 2012This is my first ATV I have owned. I have ridden many other ATV's but each one I have ridden needs repairs often. So I decided to buy the 400ex. This is a great ATV. I have ran it against many ATV's either runs with them or not much behind them. This is a great ATV and I love it. It does whatever ... I want it to do.

I own a 2002 model but practicly the same
By Chucky (I am an Owner) on Oct 23, 2012I own a 2002 Honda TRX400EX this year(2012). This is my first atv I've owned. I have rode others before, but not a manual. The previous owner had rolled it over on its top or something to that effect. I'm not sure what for sure because I bought it from a dealership. I also had wrecked it myself pretty ... bad. I had a big dog run in front of me and did not see it till it was done to late, flipped over handle bars and the atv flipped 2.5-3 times on pavement. The only real thing that was wrong with it after i wrecked it was that the headlight and starter box was busted, front tires needed realligned, and handle bars needed replaced. I am back on this thing riding as soon as I was recovered from my injuries. I bought it with the valves needing adjusting and still do need adjusting. Has not lost any of the power. I can get the front wheels to leave the ground in 3rd gear without trying. It is not the fastest, but not the slowest either. I keep up farely well acceleration wise compared to a 2004 Suzuki LTZ400 and can somewhat pull away. Of coarse I weight 140lbs and he weighs 250ish. His pulls up more than mine though. I have had my GPS on my 400ex and topped out at 68mph. These things have got to be the best quality atv out there or way up there. I will eventually add aftermarket parts on it once i can afford too. Remind you, this 400ex is bone stock and still running strong(minus valves needing adjusting.) It also fits comfortably to me also and I'm 5'10"-5'11".

the best atv ever made.
By Tim (I am an Owner) on Mar 15, 2011the honda 400ex is by far the best atv ever made. not the fastest but also not slow eather i bought my first one in 2002 it ran great then and still does now i changed a few small thing with the suspenson and exsaust but that is it. the 400ex is great for the trails and the track. i have recently ... bought a 450r also a great bike but not as well rounded as the 400ex. if there is one thing to tell somebody about the 400ex is with a little routean matnence the bike will run fore ever and with some cosmetick and a little perfomsnce mods u will likley have one of the nicest bikes in your group.i still have yet to sell any of the 400ex atvs i own they run to well and are to much fun i would say keep them in the family my 02 went to my 14 year old brother who has a blast on it and i still have my 03,04 and 06 models also the 400 is so easy to get some real great hours power out of like my 04 model i did some work to it. and it goes as listed. elka shocks, itp bead lock wheels, i razer tires, full under body skid, gripper seat, mayre racing plastics, pro taper handel bars, houser stering stim, lone star swing arm and axle, aluminum air box,k&n air filter and pre charger, hmf full exsaust,440 big bore kit, ported and polished, stage 2 hot cam,a little carb work(jets and thing to acomodate the engine and exsaust changes),dyno jet stage 2 rev box, long travel a arms, task force fromt bumper, pro armor nerf bars and a little more none of this had to be done i just wanted to have some fun with it and let me tell you it looks and runs great i would rather ride it than my 450r or my older brothers yfz450 any day and i can out run my 450 in all settings. race, trail, or cross country wich we do all of.so if u want a nice and reliable atv go with the 400ex and if you want to work on your atv every other weekend than go with somthing other than the 400ex. all in all i would recomend this atv to anybody and any ridding style it is as close to perfict as an atv will likley ever be.

By Chandler (I am an Owner) on Mar 22, 2010this is this four wheeler i had eveer. if u want a atv that the ts fast and tough this is the one for u. I have accidently fliped it on its side 2 times and it still runs perfect! Mine has a different throttle mine is a dirt bike throttle. it was hard to get use but after awile it was easy to ride.weelies ... are easy to do in 2nd and 1st i would rather reckmend to do them in 2nd. Im still a beginner but im learning im 13 btw. Im trying to get a weelie in 3rd but still having problems cuz i cant make it pop right in 3rd i have to go from 2nd to 3rd but its kinda diffcult. But the sport trax 400ex is a great atv for minerals like me. The honda sport trx 400ex is a great atv do drive hard and do wat u like to do on utv atv. There great for trailing to and jumoing.

best on earth-no joke
By mark almeter (I am an Owner) on Nov 08, 2009this atv is not the fastest sport quad out there.if you want to jump, slide and wheelie like any body else(maybe better)AND still ride when your buddies are fixing theirs.this is the one to buy.i also have a 2001 model that has been ridden nearly every weekend since delivery in dec. of 2000.that machine ... has been through long winter rides on snowmobile trails, harescramble races and woods/trail riding.i have replaced axle bearings, brake pads, tires, oil, and a clutch cable.in case your wondering this is nov.2009!!it has been acting like it needs a clutch lately so that will be soon.i have owned yamahas and a 250r and this does not compare in reliability.i liked it so much i bought the 2004 for my wife.it hasnt disappointed us yet.these things are BULLETPROOF!the 2001 has a dyno jet kit and a pro circuit header and t-4 silencer,i also got sick of clutch cables burning on the header so i got a hydraulic clutch.this doesnt work well in the cold so i ride the 04 stocker.DO NOT replace the stock rims either, put holeshots on them instead.(yes holeshots)razr tires spin.look at the lug depth, its common sense.had itp rims and they were junk after 1 race. to sum it up,DO YOU WANT TO RIDE?OR BE A MECHANIC?choose a honda...best on earth

SUPER ATV SUPER RELIALBLE
By David Johnson (I am an Owner) on Apr 28, 2009This ATV is a great quad for beginners to pro. It is awesome for trail riding and easy to use the clutch. Maybe a little bit more power but with a few add ons you can change that for sure!!
