The next installment of the 2026 off-road racing season is here, and it also comes in the form of the 2026 SCORE World Desert Championship opening event. Polaris is geared up to take on the San Felipe 250 with heavy hitters on board, which it will need a good performance out of it wants to win a fourth consecutive championship.

The San Felipe 250 runs through Baja, covering areas like Zoo Road and Matomi Wash. These famous sections are only a part of what makes the desert race so brutal, and they're also what help make it so exciting.

Polaris is taking to the race with its 2026 RZR Pro R Factory team, which brought home first place at last year's event. Brock Heger is piloting one of the rigs, and he's carrying the momentum of a two-time champion to help him go for gold. Cayden MacCachren is also taking to the desert, and he too is carrying a lot of momentum thanks to a second victory at the Baja 1000. Branden Sims-- a veteran Polaris racer-- is also looking like a top contender, and the San Felipe 250 is his first time running the RZR Pro R Factory.

New Polaris team members Ethan Groom and Joe Terrana are on board as well, the former working his way up through the Polaris ecosystem and the latter coming over from Can-Am's factory racing outfit.

The 2026 San Felipe 250 runs from March 25th through March 29th, and we look forward to following along.
