Meyer picks up Black River UTV accessories line
If you've been building out a side-by-side for all-weather work, there's a new name in the distribution pipeline worth knowing. Meyer Distributing, the auto and powersports specialty products distributor, has added the Black River accessories brand to its powersports catalog.
What Black River brings
Black River manufactures UTV accessories spanning storage, protection, comfort, and day-to-day utility. The headline products are all-weather windshields and windshield wiper systems. The windshields use DOT-approved tempered glass, with frames engineered to hold up in off-road conditions.
For owners wondering whether their rig is covered, the line fits UTVs from Can-Am, CFMOTO and Polaris.
Why distribution matters here
Big glass windshields aren't easy to get from warehouse to dealer in one piece, and that logistics problem is a big part of what this partnership addresses.
"These boxes are big, expensive to ship, and quite fragile," said Nick Gramelspacher, VP of brand strategy for Meyer. "We teamed up with Black River to create a package that will allow this product safe passage from the Meyer warehouse to the powersports shop for next-day delivery."
If your local shop runs through Meyer, getting a tempered-glass windshield ordered and installed without a cracked unit showing up should be a smoother proposition.
Richard Carnahan, vice president at Black River, said, "We're excited to partner with Meyer Distributing as they continue to expand their footprint in the powersports market."
A pattern of powersports expansion
This isn't Meyer's only recent play in the space. In October 2025, the company announced a distribution partnership with EFX Tires, a brand known for high-performance tires built for UTVs, ATVs, and golf carts.
Ultra-accessorized UTVs loaded with aftermarket parts like windshields and cab enclosures have grown more common. For the working owner who wants to turn an open machine into a weatherproof chore rig, more supply through the distribution chain is good news.
