2016 Polaris Sportsman® 850 High Lifter Edition

Bought new in 2016. Had the heat issue recall fixed. Never any issues since. Wish it had power steering. Great in mud but rough ride on dry land. Would buy again but would make sure it has power steering, I'm 61 years old and its alittle tough to steer in a good mud pond.

OK People talk about the plastics melting? Well Polaris has and will cover and provide Parts and labor for heat shield for this 850 HL machine, Covered and put on the recall list, Mine was done perfect now and no dealer problems ! And the same goes for the front Diff yolk housing cracking, (Never ... had a problem with the origional) Mine was replaced and all covered by polaris! And as far as axles breaking? Well I weigh 300 Lbs, Live in south eastern Wyoming I Ride Hard, Really hard, up in in the Snowy Mtn Range (Deep Mud, Fast and Slow Trails,Steep Long Hillclimbs & a lot of Very Rocky/Technical Terrain and never an Issue ! And people complaining about the turning Radious? It's the Huge HL Mud tires that will do the same on any 4x4 ATV! I picked upa spare set of EFX Motoclaw Radials (about the same size, just a little wider and it will turn on a dime just like other models! Oh The After Market Power Steering did make it more comfortable though, It should come with that. So, Take what these CanAm Lover/ Polaris Haters are Lying about, with a Grain of Salt! I've had my Highlifter for almost two months and it's in the shop again. First weekend I owned it the throttle control went bad and waited almost 2 weeks. Took it out for another trip this past weekend and back at the shop today. Shift linkage is bad . Says its in reverse when shifted in to Low ... . Not too happy. On the other hand when the machine is running properly it's amazing. Hopefully they get all the bugs out after this trip to the dealer.

Bought brand new ...has no more than 6 hours on it...ridden only in low gear under 10 mph. Noticed a crack in front of the seat before it was ever ridden. Had not been on it but for 3 minutes today and plastic on right side floorboard started melting. Hearing constant rattling. Ready to give it back. ...
