Honda TRX250X, FourTrax Rubicon 700 4x4 and Recon All Return For 2026
In addition to the upgrades Pioneer 700 UTV and its Pioneer 520 smaller sibling returning for 2026, Honda also recently announced three of its popular ATVs are back for the upcoming model year. The TRX250X, FourTrax Recon, and FourTrax Rubicon 700 4x4 Automatic will all still be available-- again unchanged-- and we're happy to see them back.
First up is the FourTrax Rubicon 700 4x4 Automatic. It's Honda's most powerful quad, packing a 675cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine mated to a conventional three-speed transmission with automatic and manual shifting modes. It also has Honda's TraxLok 2WD/4WD system and is a machine generally well regarded among ATVers.
For 2026, Rubicon is available in Hero Red for $9,999 and Matte Silver for $10,399. Buyers can find them come September.
Next up is the venerable FourTrax Recon. It's long, long overdue for an update and its 229cc engine is really only packing a punch on the durability front, but the Recon is and always will be one of the hardest to kill ATVs out there.
For 2026, the Recon is available in two trims: Recon ($4,849) and Recon ES ($5,099). Both can be had in either Hero Red or Black Forest Green, and both will be available in October.
Last but not least is the TRX250X, the machine and lineage of which serves and has served as the entrance to sport quads for countless powersports enthusiasts. Like the Recon, it's long overdue for some love from Honda, yet as one of the few remaining sport-oriented machines out there it's a good thing it's still alive and kicking. The TRX250X has a 229cc air-cooled engine and Honda's SportClutch system, all mounted in a lightweight double-cradle steel frame with independent double-wishbone suspension up front and a swingarm out back.
2026 TRX250X examples will come exclusively in Red and cost buyers $5,099, with availability beginning in September.
